Dual Enrollment

Offers North Carolina high school students a clear path to success in college or in a career.

Prepare to be college ready!
Earning Dual Credit with Community College Courses Wake County Public School System students can earn both high school credit and college credit for courses they take while in high school. There are several programs available to achieve this.

  • Career and College Promise  provides enrichment opportunities for high school students by enrolling in courses not otherwise available to them.  Courses have been specifically identified in the annual agreement and are taught by Wake Technical Community College instructors.  Courses are held at Wake Tech or at a WCPSS school. These courses are for high school juniors and seniors only and are not open to the general public.   Certain courses have an age requirement.  Students receive both WCPSS credit and Wake Tech credit.  Tuition is free for our students however instructional may apply for certain courses.  Students must be in high school to enroll in Career and College Promise.  To learn more, please visit the WTCC website:  http://www.waketech.edu/career-and-college-promise   For more information , please contact Ms. Manning in Career Services room 1934 located in the East Building.
